Program Overview

The Media Foundation program is a one-year certificate course designed for students in Toronto who are eager to explore various media career options. This program equips students with essential skills that are crucial for success in diploma and advanced diploma media programs. Throughout the course, students will delve into diverse areas such as photography, image manipulation, storytelling, audio production, and interactive media. The curriculum is structured to foster creativity and analytical skills, enabling students to understand and evaluate media effectively.

The Media Foundation program is structured as follows:

  • Program Length: 1 year (2 semesters)
  • Method of Study: Full-time
  • Starting Months: January, September

This program offers students the opportunity to create a portfolio in the second semester, which can be submitted for further studies in various related fields such as Graphic Design, Interaction Design, Game Art, and Video Design & Production. The program is offered at the St. James Campus under the School of Media & Performing Arts.
