The Foundation (UTP Stage I) program is designed to prepare students for entry into university-level programs in various fields such as Business Administration, Computing Science, Engineering Science, and Arts and Social Sciences. This program consists of eight courses that equip students with the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed in their future studies. Upon successful completion of the Foundation program, students will progress to International Year One (UTP Stage II) at Simon Fraser University, ensuring a smooth transition into their chosen degree path.

The program is offered with multiple intakes throughout the year, specifically in January, May, and September.
