Program overview

The Foundation Program (UTP Stage I) is an eight-month program designed to bridge the gap between secondary school and undergraduate studies. It serves as the perfect first step towards achieving your academic goals. This program consists of a series of courses that equip students with the necessary skills and knowledge to transition smoothly into university-level programs. Upon successful completion, students are assured entry into any of the International Year One (UTP Stage II) programs offered by the International College of Manitoba (ICM).

Program structure

The Foundation Program (UTP Stage I) is structured to provide a comprehensive educational experience over a duration of two terms. Here are some key details about the program:

  • Program Length: 8 months
  • Intakes: Available in January, May, and September
  • Location: Winnipeg, Manitoba
  • Mixed Entry Option: Foundation (UTP Stage I) Mixed Entry is available for 3 terms

Students have the opportunity to “JUMP” to International Year One (UTP Stage II) if they successfully complete four Foundation classes with a minimum grade of B (70%) in each course during a single term, along with passing the ILS or ILS102.
