Program Overview

The Auto Body Repair Techniques program is a one-year Ontario college certificate designed to equip students with the essential skills needed to enter the auto body field. This program focuses on practical training, enabling students to master techniques such as welding, refinishing, metalworking, and body repair. Graduates will gain confidence in assessing vehicle damage, creating repair estimates, and utilizing industry-standard software, ensuring they are well-prepared for entry-level positions in the auto body repair industry.

Program Structure

The Auto Body Repair Techniques program spans a duration of 30 weeks, providing a comprehensive learning experience for students. The program is structured to include:

  • Hands-on training in a state-of-the-art auto body repair shop.
  • Opportunities to develop practical skills in welding, refinishing, and metalworking.
  • Instruction on assessing vehicle damage and creating repair estimates.
  • Exposure to common industry software used in auto body repair.
  • Preparation for the level one apprenticeship exemption exam, granting one year's credit towards a three-year apprenticeship.

This program is offered in a full-time format, with start dates available in September 2026 and January 2027 at the London campus.
