Program Overview

The 1-Year Personal Support Worker - International Ontario College Certificate Program at Conestoga College is designed to prepare students for a rewarding career in the health care sector. This program focuses on developing the skills necessary to provide person-centered care to individuals and families across various health and wellness levels. As a Personal Support Worker (PSW), graduates will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for their clients, making a significant difference in their daily lives.

 

Program Structure

The Personal Support Worker program is structured to be completed in 1 year, consisting of two academic terms. The program is delivered in a hybrid format, with most courses being conducted in person. Students will have the opportunity to study at multiple locations, including:

  • Brantford
  • Guelph
  • Waterloo
  • Stratford
  • Milton
  • Kitchener

This program includes experiential learning opportunities integrated throughout the curriculum, allowing students to apply their knowledge and skills in real-life settings. Additionally, students will receive provincially recognized certificates related to their areas of learning, ensuring they are well-prepared for their future roles as PSWs.
