Program Overview

The Business Fundamentals program is designed for students aiming to gain a foundational understanding of business principles. This program covers essential topics such as business organization, accounting, marketing, operations management, and business communications. By completing this program, students will not only develop a basic level of competence in business but also clarify their interests in specific business disciplines. Graduates will have the opportunity to transfer directly into the second year of Conestoga's Business or Business Administration programs, or receive credit towards other Business diploma programs, allowing for advanced standing.

Program Structure

The Business Fundamentals program is structured to be completed in 1 year, consisting of two academic terms. The program is offered in a hybrid delivery format, allowing students to benefit from both in-person and online learning experiences. Key features of the program include:

  • Duration: 1 year (2 academic terms)
  • Credential: Ontario College Certificate
  • Start Dates: Available in September 2025 and January 2026
  • Campus Options: Kitchener – Doon and Online

Students also have the option to pursue this program part-time, providing flexibility for those who may be balancing work or other commitments.
