Program Overview

The Civil Engineering Technology Diploma program at Camosun College equips students with the essential skills to plan, design, and maintain both structures and public works. This program emphasizes the importance of respecting and responding to the natural environment while creating the infrastructure that shapes our urban areas. Graduates will be prepared to enter a field that is in high demand, contributing to projects that ensure public safety and environmental protection.

Program Structure

The Civil Engineering Technology Diploma program is designed to be completed in 4 semesters. Students have the option to study either full-time or part-time, with the program being open to international students as well. Key features of the program include:

  • Co-op and internship opportunities that allow students to gain practical experience while studying.
  • Hands-on learning experiences that develop real-world technical problem-solving abilities.
  • Flexibility in starting dates, with options to begin in September or January.
  • Possibility to spread Year 1 courses over three semesters for those who start in September.

Students will alternate between full-time studies and full-time paid work, enhancing their learning experience and industry connections.
