Academic Requirements

For the Bachelor of Education - Adult Education (Honours) (Second Degree) program at Brock University, the following Academic Requirements apply:

General Academic Requirements:

Applicants must have completed a first degree with a minimum overall average of 65%.
Prerequisite courses must include English, Mathematics, Biology, and Chemistry, with a minimum of 75% in each.
Transcripts may be required to be evaluated by WES in some cases.

International Students:

International applicants must meet the same Academic Requirements as domestic students.
It is essential to provide all final grades and results from secondary studies, as published by the respective institution or examining board.
Current international secondary school students may submit predicted grades, but progress school grades are preferred.

English is the primary language of instruction at Brock University. If your first language is not English, you must prove proficiency with one of the following:

TOEFL iBT: overall 88, no band below 21
Duolingo: minimum score of 110
CAEL: overall 70, no band below 60
PTE: 58
IELP Level 5: Successful completion of Level 5 of the Brock Intensive English Language program
CAE (C1 Advanced): 176 minimum score
CPE (C2 Proficiency): 176 minimum score
IB: Completion of the International Baccalaureate diploma with English A
English Language Instruction: A minimum of three previous years of full-time study (non-ESL) where the primary language of instruction and evaluation was English, with strong grades in English and other humanities/social science secondary school courses.

Online Proficiency Tests: Brock accepts the IELTS, TOEFL-at-Home Edition Test, Duolingo English Test, CAEL Online test, and the PTE Academic Online test.

IELTS One Skill Retake is accepted by Brock Undergraduate Admissions.
