Academic Requirements

To apply for the Digital Communications and Wireless Technologies diploma program, applicants must meet the following entrance requirements:

Minimum GPA: Not specified.
Prerequisite Courses:
- English Studies 12 (50%) or equivalent.
- One of the following Math courses:
  - Pre-Calculus 11 (60%)
  - Foundations of Math 11 (60%)
  - Workplace Math 11 (60%)
International Applicants: This program is available to international students. A valid BCIT study permit is required prior to starting the program. Students must also complete a mandatory work component to qualify for graduation, which requires a co-op work permit.
Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) Eligibility: This program meets the eligible field of study requirement (CIP) for students to apply for a PGWP. Students are responsible for meeting all Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) PGWP eligibility requirements. Final PGWP approval is at the discretion of IRCC.
Transcripts may be required to be evaluated by WES in some cases.
