Academic Requirements

All applicants must satisfy both College Eligibility and Program Eligibility requirements.

For the Bachelor of Interior Design (Honours) program, the following academic requirements apply:

Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent.
Mature students must be at least 19 years of age and demonstrate academic abilities equivalent to those of Ontario high school graduates.

Program Eligibility:

Six Grade 12 university (U) or university/college (M) courses with a minimum 65% average, including:

One Grade 12 U English course
One Grade 11 or 12 C Mathematics course (MBF3C, MAP4C or equivalent)

Mature students must meet the subject-specific requirements directly or through equivalencies.
Subject to competition, applicants may be required to present grades/averages at 70%.
International applicants must provide proof of subject-specific requirements and may need to provide proof of language proficiency.

Transcripts may be required to be evaluated by WES in some cases.

Non-Academic Criteria:

Applicants must submit a portfolio of original work showing evidence of creative and technical ability, including an assessment and short written statement.

Language Requirements

The Bachelor of Interior Design (Honours) program has specific language requirements for applicants. The accepted English language proficiency tests and their respective scores are as follows:

IELTS - Overall band of 6.5 with a minimum of 6.0 in each band.
TOEFL (Internet-based) - Overall score of 88, with a minimum of 22 in each component:
- Reading: 22
- Listening: 22
- Speaking: 22
- Writing: 22
Duolingo English Test (DET) - Overall score of 120, with a minimum of 120 in Literacy and no score below 105.
