This four-year Bachelor of Science (Building Science) (Honours) degree equips students with the essential skills and knowledge to analyze and solve problems related to optimizing building performance. The program bridges various aspects of building design, construction, human comfort, and sustainability. Graduates from the Architectural Technology Ontario College Advanced Diploma program can apply to this pathway, receiving credit for 22 courses, which can reduce their degree completion time to just three years. The curriculum emphasizes both theoretical and applied learning, ensuring students gain hands-on experience with current and emerging technologies in building construction and operation.

Program structure

The Bachelor of Science (Building Science) (Honours) program is structured to provide a comprehensive education over a four-year period. However, eligible graduates from the Architectural Technology Ontario College Advanced Diploma program can complete the degree in three years due to credit recognition for prior coursework. The program includes:
