Academic Requirements

The Bachelor of Interior Design (Honours) program at Conestoga College has specific academic requirements for admission. Here are the key points:

Applicants must possess an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD), or an equivalent qualification, or be at least 19 years of age.
A minimum of six (6) required Grade 12 courses with a cumulative average of 65% is necessary. This includes:
- One (1) specified U level course
- Five (5) additional U or M level courses
The following courses are required:
- English (ENG4U) or Conestoga College Preparatory Communications for Degrees (COMM0350)
- A Grade 12 U level course in Mathematics or a Grade 11 Mathematics (U or M) with a minimum grade of 65%. Note that a Grade 11 Math is not a substitute for a 12 U or M course.
Students missing a required Math course have options to fulfill this requirement, including:
- Taking the online course OLRN142
- Completing a high school course through their local school board
- Enrolling in an online course through Virtual High School or TVO/ILC
Students missing a required English course can also complete a high school course or enroll in an online course.

For international students, it is important to note that:

Canadian citizens and permanent residents with transcripts from outside Canada require a course-by-course credential evaluation. This can be requested at a reduced fee through the college.
Transcripts may be required to be evaluated by WES in some cases.
