Academic Requirements

To apply for the Master of Science in Management Analytics program at Wilfrid Laurier University, applicants must meet the following academic requirements:

A four-year undergraduate degree in business, economics, or a quantitative discipline (e.g., mathematics, statistics, actuarial sciences, physics, chemistry, life sciences, engineering sciences, etc.).
A minimum overall GPA of B+ in the final two years of study.
Completion of one course in both calculus and statistics, with a minimum grade of B+.
Official transcripts are required.
One writing sample (2-3 pages) must be submitted, which can be an academic or professional piece written entirely by the applicant.
Two letters of reference, with at least one being academic.
An in-person or phone interview may also be required.

For international applicants, evidence of proficiency in both written and oral English is required if the applicant's native language is not English. The minimum scores accepted are:

IELTS: 7

Conestoga College’s English for Academic Studies: Level 4 with a satisfactory final score of 70%.
Kaplan International English School: Completion of Advanced Level (C1).
Renison University College’s English for Academic Success (EFAS): Level (400) with a satisfactory final score of 75%.
University of Guelph’s English Language Certificate Program: Advanced level 9 and 10 with a satisfactory final score of 75%.
