Academic Requirements

For the Master of Arts - Cultural Studies (Thesis-Based) program, the following Academic Requirements apply:

Minimum GPA: A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) is required for admission.
International Students:
- International students must submit a complete application, including all required documents.
- Transcripts may be required to be evaluated by WES in some cases.
- For Vietnamese students, a minimum 7.0 average in Grade 12 (only academic courses are taken into average calculation) is required.
- For other Asian students, similar academic standards apply, and specific country requirements should be checked.

IELTS: 6.5, with no band below 6.0.
The Duolingo English Test: 115 (Note: Duolingo is NOT accepted by the School of Graduate Studies at Trent).
CAEL | CAEL On-line: 60.
Cambridge B2 First, C1 Advanced/C2 Proficiency: 176, with no sub-score below 169.
Pearson PTE Academic: 59.
Trent Academic ESL Program: Academic English II with 75% in all courses.
