Program structure

Academic Requirements

The Esthetician program at St. Lawrence College (SLC) has specific academic requirements for admission. To be eligible, applicants must possess an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or an equivalent qualification. This includes the following prerequisite courses:

Grade 12 English at the C or U level
Grade 11 Math

If you do not meet these prerequisite requirements, you can enroll in the Career/College Prep program, which is free for Ontario residents aged 19 years or older.

For international students, particularly those from Vietnam and other Asian countries, it is essential to have your transcripts evaluated. If your transcripts are from outside of Canada, please note that they may need to be evaluated by WES in some cases.

Client labs are an integral part of the Esthetician program, allowing students to practice services learned in class. These labs are scheduled outside of regular class hours and provide hands-on experience in a professional environment.
