Academic Requirements

Program Eligibility

Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent, including these required courses:

English, Grade 12 (ENG4U)

plus

One Visual Arts or Communication Technology (TGJ or TGG) credit (Grade 11 or 12 any level, workplace ‘E’ level not accepted), or one postsecondary Visual Arts credit course
Four other Grade 12 subjects (U or M level)
Minimum 65% overall average

Two semesters of postsecondary education, including required English ENG4U or equivalent and Visual Arts course listed above with a minimum 65% overall average

Transcripts may be required to be evaluated by WES in some cases.

Language Requirements

All applicants to Sheridan must demonstrate English-language proficiency. This is essential for students whose first language is not English. There are several ways to prove your English proficiency:

Successful completion of Sheridan’s ESL program.
Previous secondary or postsecondary experience in English.
Achieving the minimum requirements of an English-language proficiency test.

For those who need to take an English-language proficiency test, Sheridan recognizes the following tests and their minimum scores:

CAEL (Canadian Academic English Language)	Overall score 60 with no individual section below 50.	Overall score 70 with no individual section below 60.
