Academic Requirements

The Honours Bachelor of Interaction Design program at Sheridan has specific academic requirements for prospective students. To be eligible for admission, applicants must possess an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or an equivalent qualification. This includes the following required courses:

English, Grade 12 (ENG4U)

Additionally, applicants must complete:

One Visual Arts or Communication Technology credit (TGJ or TGG) at Grade 11 or 12 level (workplace ‘E’ level not accepted), or one postsecondary Visual Arts credit course.
Four other Grade 12 subjects at U or M level.
A minimum overall average of 65%.

Alternatively, applicants may qualify with:

Two semesters of postsecondary education, including the required English (ENG4U or equivalent) and the Visual Arts course listed above, also with a minimum overall average of 65%.

Eligible applicants are selected based on their previous academic achievement, specifically the average of their six highest senior-level credits, including the required courses. If applicants do not meet the admission requirements, they may be advised on other related programs.

- Certificate or Diploma program requirement: Overall score of 105 with no integrated subscore lower than 85.
- Degree, Master’s and Graduate Certificate program requirement: Overall score of 115 with no integrated subscore lower than 95.
