Sheridan's Honours Bachelor of Experiential Design is the first undergraduate degree of its kind in Canada. This innovative program empowers students to turn ideas into immersive realities, focusing on how design shapes our interactions with the world. Students will learn to craft multi-sensory experiences that integrate graphic design, spatial design, technology, and human-centered research. The Honours Bachelor of Experiential Design program is designed to be completed in 4 years (8 semesters) at Sheridan's Trafalgar Campus in Oakville. Academic Requirements

Program Eligibility

Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent, including these required courses:

English, Grade 12 (ENG4U), with a minimum 65%

plus

One Visual Arts, Media Art or Communication Technology (TGJ or TGG) credit (Grade 11 or 12 any level, workplace ‘E’ level not accepted), or one postsecondary Visual Arts or Media Art credit course or a portfolio*
Four other Grade 12 credits (U or M level)

Two semesters of postsecondary education including required English and Visual Art or Media art courses* above with a minimum 65% overall average.

Portfolio

*Applicants who have not completed a Visual Art or Media Art credit according to the requirements above will be asked to submit a portfolio. The Office of the Registrar will update your application in the Sheridan Application Portal to notify you if a portfolio is required. Please note that there is a portfolio assessment fee.

Applicants submitting a portfolio must have the English (ENG4U) or equivalent at a 70% plus five other Grade 12 (U or M) credits.

*Applicants who have completed two semesters of an art, design, media, or architecture-related Ontario College certificate, diploma or degree program are not required to submit a portfolio.

Transcripts may be required to be evaluated by WES in some cases.

Language Requirements

All applicants to Sheridan must demonstrate English-language proficiency. This requirement is essential for students whose first language is not English. There are several ways to fulfill this requirement:

Successful completion of Sheridan’s ESL program.
Previous secondary or postsecondary experience in English.
Achieving the minimum requirements of an English-language proficiency test.

For those who need to take an English-language proficiency test, Sheridan recognizes the following exams and their minimum score requirements:
