Program Overview

The Primary Care Paramedic program at SAIT is designed for individuals aspiring to build a career in pre-hospital emergency care. This immersive program equips students with essential skills for patient assessment and treatment of medical and traumatic emergencies. Under the guidance of experienced professionals, students will gain a comprehensive understanding of emergency medical services, preparing them to become integral members of a multidisciplinary healthcare team. Program Structure

The Primary Care Paramedic program spans a total of 40 weeks, divided into three semesters. The program is available in two delivery modes: in-person at the Main Campus or a blended format combining online and on-campus learning. Key features of the program structure include:

  • Comprehensive curriculum covering pre-hospital emergency care.
  • Hands-on training in state-of-the-art simulation labs.
  • Real-world experience through practicums in hospital, urgent care, and ambulance settings.
