Enhance your Durham College GAS Certificate by examining the law's defining features in this general arts and science transfer program. The Legal Studies program offers students the opportunity to critically explore the social roles of law and its connections with community, government, and society from various perspectives. It emphasizes the importance of promoting justice through active citizenship skills, critical reflection, and respect for diversity, pluralism, equality, and equity. Students will gain insight into the powerful language of law, understanding its limits and capabilities, while also exploring areas such as human rights, international law, alternative dispute resolution, and information and privacy law.

Program structure

The Legal Studies - GAS Transfer program is designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of law within its social context. The program is structured as follows:

  • Location: Ontario Tech University, Downtown Oshawa
  • Start Dates: September
  • Program Load: Full-time or Part-time options available
