Program overview

Build on your Ontario diploma knowledge of psychology and the justice system in this college-to-university advanced entry program. The Forensic Psychology - Advanced Entry program allows students to delve into core areas of psychology, including social, cognitive, developmental, and abnormal psychology. Students will also engage in research methods and data analysis, exploring how psychology applies to crime, policing, the courts, corrections, and other facets of the justice system. This program aims to develop unique knowledge and skillsets by incorporating elements of criminology, legal studies, health, and neuroscience.

Program structure

The Forensic Psychology - Advanced Entry program is designed to be completed in four semesters of full-time study. Students have the option to pursue their studies on a part-time basis as well. The program is delivered in-class at Ontario Tech University, located in Downtown Oshawa, with a start date in September. Students will benefit from a structured curriculum that includes:

  • Core psychology courses
  • Forensic psychology courses
  • Research methods and data analysis
  • Opportunities for experiential learning through internships and practicums
