Program overview
Intersect the study of psychology and justice by applying principles and scientific methods to the study of both criminal behaviour and the judicial system. In the Forensic Psychology program, students will delve into core areas of psychology, including social, cognitive, developmental, and abnormal psychology, alongside research methods and data analysis. The curriculum offers a variety of forensic psychology courses that connect psychology to crime, policing, the courts, corrections, and other facets of the justice system. Students will also have opportunities to integrate criminology, legal studies, health, and neuroscience into their studies, aiming to develop unique knowledge and skill sets.
Program structure
The Forensic Psychology program is designed to be completed in four years of full-time study. The program is delivered in-class at Ontario Tech University, located in Downtown Oshawa. Students can start their studies in either September or January, providing flexibility in their academic journey. The program includes various experiential learning opportunities, such as:
