Program overview

The Business and Society program at Ontario Tech University is designed to implement strategies for creating sustainable community development policies. This program focuses on improving the quality of life while addressing significant community justice and planning issues. It combines core political science concepts with insights from various social scientific disciplines, critically examining the impact of business on society and the environment. Students will develop the skills necessary to evaluate essential economic processes and relations, while also considering and developing sustainable business practices.

Program structure

The Business and Society program is offered as a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree and can be completed in four or five years. The program is structured to provide a comprehensive educational experience through various learning methods, including:

  • In-class delivery
  • Experiential learning opportunities such as co-op, internships, practicums, and research studies
  • Full-time program load

Students have the option to apply for a direct-entry co-op program, which allows them to gain valuable work experience while studying. The program starts in September and January, providing flexibility for students to begin their studies at different times.
