The Broadcasting – Radio, Television and Film (Radio & TV Presentation) program at Niagara College is designed for those who are passionate about media, storytelling, and being in the spotlight. This program offers students the opportunity to explore various aspects of the radio, television, and film industries. With a focus on hands-on learning, students will gain practical experience in music, talk, and news radio, as well as electronic news gathering and in-studio hosting. The program prepares students to be versatile broadcasters, ready to adapt to the evolving media landscape.

Program structure

The Broadcasting – Radio, Television and Film (Radio & TV Presentation) program is structured to provide a comprehensive education over a three-year period. During this time, students will engage in a variety of learning experiences, including:

  • Hands-on training in radio and television production.
  • Immersive seven-week broadcast industry field placement.
  • Opportunities to select a program concentration during the first year.

This program is delivered at the Welland campus and emphasizes practical skills and real-world applications, ensuring that students are well-prepared for careers in the media industry. The curriculum is designed to adapt to the latest industry trends and technologies, providing students with the tools they need to succeed.
