Program overview

The International Bachelor of Arts (iBA) is crafted to equip students for a future as global citizens. This program focuses on the study of global dynamics and worldwide issues through the lens of the Humanities and Social Sciences. Its primary objectives are to impart essential knowledge and analytical skills necessary for engaging in research and work related to cultural, economic, political, religious, and social processes on a global scale. The iBA program stands out from the traditional Bachelor of Arts (BA) by requiring additional international studies and language courses, ensuring a comprehensive educational experience.

Program structure

The iBA program is structured to be completed in a four-year timeframe, which includes a unique study abroad internship semester. This program is designed to provide students with a rich educational experience that encompasses:

  • Completion of a major or honours program
  • Involvement in a minor or second major program
  • Core requirements of the Bachelor of Arts
  • Critical reading and writing courses
