Program Overview

The Honours Bachelor of Technology in Construction Management (Bridging) program is designed for individuals who hold a three-year advanced diploma in fields such as Construction Engineering Technology, Civil Engineering Technology, Architecture Technology, Interior Design Technology, or Building Renovation Technology. This program provides a pathway for these graduates to pursue a degree in construction management, equipping them with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in the construction industry. The program emphasizes a blend of technical and managerial skills, ensuring that students are well-prepared for the challenges of modern construction management.

Program Structure

The Honours Bachelor of Technology in Construction Management (Bridging) program is structured to be completed in a total of 5 semesters, followed by an additional semester dedicated to field experience. The program is offered on a full-time basis, with the following key components:

  • Program Length: 5 semesters plus 1 Field Experience semester
  • Starting Months: May
  • Experiential Learning: Mandatory Field Experience
  • Bridging Courses: Intensive block courses during spring/summer semesters (May to August)

Students must successfully complete all semester 4 courses with a minimum grade of C- and a semester GPA of 2.70 before progressing to semester 5. This ensures that students are adequately prepared for the advanced topics covered in the latter part of the program.
