Academic Requirements

The Manufacturing Engineering Technician (Co-op) program at Fanshawe College has specific academic requirements for applicants. To be eligible for this program, students must possess an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or an equivalent qualification. Additionally, applicants must have completed the following prerequisite courses:

Grade 11 Math (U or M) or Grade 12 Math (C or U) - MCT4C is preferred.

For international students, particularly those from Vietnam and other Asian countries, it is essential to review the admission equivalencies based on your country of study. This ensures that you meet the specific requirements set forth by Fanshawe College.

It is important to note that transcripts may be required to be evaluated by WES in some cases. Students who do not meet the admission requirements are recommended for academic upgrading. A conditional offer may be possible with proof of enrollment. Alternatively, applicants may choose to complete the one-year Trade Fundamentals preparatory program, which provides all the admission requirements for this program.

Note: This program requires strong math skills. Grade 12 Foundations for College Math may not provide adequate academic preparation for this program. Math tutoring and extra help are offered at the college.
