Academic Requirements

The MBA (International Student Pathway) program at Brock University has specific academic requirements for prospective students. Here are the key points to consider:

Degree Type: A four-year bachelor’s degree in any field (Canadian equivalent) is required. The degree must be from an accredited institution.
Minimum GPA: A minimum GPA of B / 75% (Canadian equivalent) is required. The GPA is calculated based on the last two years of the undergraduate degree only. The admissions committee will convert grades from the applicant's home country to the Canadian equivalent.
Transcripts: Scans of original transcripts from all post-secondary institutions are required. The scanned copy must be of the official transcript, not a student/self-serve copy. Any documents not in English or French must be translated into English and notarized before acceptance.
Work Experience: There is no specific work experience requirement, although it is preferred.
International Students: International applicants are encouraged to apply at least four months before the start of their desired entry point to allow for visa processing time. Application review can take up to one month from when a completed application is received.

English is the primary language of instruction at Brock University. If your first language is not English, you must prove proficiency with one of the following:

IELTS - Academic: overall 6.5, no band below 6.0
TOEFL iBT: overall 88, no band below 21
Duolingo: minimum score of 110
CAEL: overall 70, no band below 60
PTE: 58
IELP Level 5: Successful completion of Level 5 of the Brock Intensive English Language program
CAE (C1 Advanced): 176 minimum score
CPE (C2 Proficiency): 176 minimum score
IB: Completion of the International Baccalaureate diploma with English A
English Language Instruction: A minimum of three previous years of full-time study (non-ESL) where the primary language of instruction and evaluation was English, with strong grades in English and other humanities/social science secondary school courses.

Online Proficiency Tests: Brock accepts the IELTS, TOEFL-at-Home Edition Test, Duolingo English Test, CAEL Online test, and the PTE Academic Online test.

IELTS One Skill Retake is accepted by Brock Undergraduate Admissions.
