Academic Requirements

All applicants must satisfy both College Eligibility and Program Eligibility requirements.

College Eligibility:

Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent; OR
Mature Student status (19 years of age or older and without a high school diploma at the start of the program). Eligibility may be determined by academic achievement testing, for which a fee will be charged.

Program Eligibility:

All applicants must complete a language proficiency test through the Algonquin College Test Centre, and will be required to pay a fee.
Applicants who have previously obtained scores on standardized tests (IELTS, TOEFL) may not be required to take the placement test; please forward your test score to LOA Portal's advisors for any clarification and support.
Applicants who have successfully completed the Algonquin College Pre-EAP program with a minimum B- in every course are not required to take the placement test.

Transcripts may be required to be evaluated by WES in some cases.

International Students:

For international students, it is essential to meet the above eligibility criteria. Additionally, it is advisable to contact LOA Portal's advisors for any clarification and support regarding the application process.
