Academic Requirements

For admission to the Bachelor of Arts and Science - Political Science & Chemistry program at the University of Lethbridge, the following requirements must be met:

Minimum GPA: A minimum average of 65% across five required courses is necessary for Canadian high school students in Alberta.
Required Courses:
- English Language Arts 30-1 is mandatory.
- Three of the following courses are required:
  - Aboriginal Studies 30

  - Chemistry 30
  - Choral Music 30, General Music 30, or Instrumental Music 30
  - Dance 35
  - Drama 30
  - Mathematics 30-1 or Mathematics 30-2

  - Social Studies 30-1
  - Five credits in Advanced-level CTS Computer Science (CSE)
  - One or more distinct languages at the 30 level
- One additional requirement must be met from the list above, which has not already been used, must be at the 30 level, and worth at least five credits.

Vietnam International Students: Require at least four years of study with a minimum overall grade of 7/10.

Language Requirements

Academic Pearson Test of English (PTE) with a minimum overall score of 61, and a minimum score of 60 in each part.
Canadian Academic English Language (CAEL) assessment with a minimum overall score of 70, and a minimum score of 60 in each component.
Duolingo English Test with a minimum overall score of 120, and a minimum score of 110 in each subscore.
