Academic Requirements

To apply for the Bachelor of Science (Honours) - Biology program at the University of Ottawa, international students, particularly those from Vietnam, must meet specific Academic Requirements. Here are the key points to consider:

Applicants must have received or be in the process of receiving their Senior High School Certificate - Bằng Tốt Nghiệp Trung Học Phổ Thông.
Students must have a minimum average of 7.5/10 and have passed five subjects, including the prerequisites, in their senior year. Note that requirements may be higher depending on the program of study chosen.
Prerequisite courses must be completed in the senior year, and all prerequisites must be passed with a minimum of 5/10.
For those who have taken postsecondary courses, a minimum average of 70% is required, along with passing the prerequisites for the program of study.
Transcripts may be required to be evaluated by WES in some cases.

In order to be considered for a program offered in English at the University of Ottawa, you must demonstrate that you are sufficiently proficient in the language to follow a postsecondary academic program. Please note that citizenship is not considered when evaluating English proficiency. To show that your English proficiency is at the academic level required for university studies, provide proof of either:

Postsecondary studies in English; or
Last three years of high school taken in English (Grades 10, 11 or 12)
