Academic Requirements

For the Bachelor of Business Administration - Niigaaniiwin - The Art Of Leading program, the following academic requirements apply:

Minimum GPA: A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 (on a 4.0 scale) is required for admission.
International Students:
- For students from Vietnam, a minimum average of 7.0 in Grade 12 (only academic courses are taken into average calculation) is required.
- English language proficiency test results are normally required for direct admission to undergraduate studies. However, students in the CBSE curriculum are exempted from providing English Language Proficiency test.
- For the Bachelor of Business Administration, students from the Commerce stream in the India Senior High School are exempt from having Mathematics as a required course for admission.
Prerequisite Courses:
- For admission to Biomedical Science, the following courses are required: Biology, Chemistry, and one of Mathematics or Physics.
Transcripts may be required to be evaluated by WES in some cases.

Language Requirements

At Trent University, it is essential for students to demonstrate proficiency in both spoken and written English to succeed in their academic endeavors. All applicants whose first language is not English are required to provide proof of English proficiency through one of the following accepted tests:

TOEFL / TOEFL IBT / TOEFL IBT Special Home Edition: 86 IBT with a minimum writing score of 20.
IELTS: 6.5, with no band below 6.0.
The Duolingo English Test: 115 (Note: Duolingo is NOT accepted by the School of Graduate Studies at Trent, and is only applicable for Undergraduate applications.)
CAEL | CAEL On-line: 60.
Cambridge B2 First, C1 Advanced/C2 Proficiency (Certificate of Advanced English): 176, with no sub-score below 169.
Pearson PTE Academic In-person & Online: 59.
Trent Academic ESL Program: Academic English II with 75% in all courses.
Oxford English Language Level Test (ELLT): 7, with no band below 6.
LANGUAGECERT Academic (LCA): 70-74, with no score below 65.
