Program Overview
The English for Academic Purposes (EAP) program is designed to enhance your English language skills beyond traditional ESL or test preparation. This program focuses on improving your reading, writing, speaking, and listening abilities while developing essential academic competencies such as research and referencing. Successful completion of Level 6 guarantees entry into your chosen full-time academic program at StFX the following semester. The program is structured to provide insights into the Canadian classroom environment, fostering a small and friendly atmosphere on the StFX campus in Antigonish, Nova Scotia, Canada.
Program Structure
The EAP program consists of two levels, each lasting 12 weeks. Classes are held Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 2:30 pm. The program begins in September, January, and June, allowing for flexible entry points. Key features of the program structure include:
