Program Overview

The Bachelor of Business Administration with a major in Human Resource Management is designed to prepare students for a successful career in the dynamic field of human resources. This program is accredited by the Human Resources Institute of Alberta (HRIA) and equips graduates with the skills necessary to add strategic value to organizations. Students will learn about various aspects of HR, including recruitment, employee training and development, compensation, change management, and navigating diversity in the workplace. Upon completion, graduates will earn their Certified Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) designation, enhancing their employability and professional credibility in the HR field.

Program Structure

The Bachelor of Business Administration - Human Resource Management Major is a four-year undergraduate program offered in-person at the Main Campus. The program is structured to provide a comprehensive education in business and human resources, requiring students to complete a total of 120 credits, which includes:

  • Business core courses
  • Complementary core courses
  • Major-specific courses
  • Optional minors for further specialization

Students will engage in a practicum or capstone project during their fourth year, allowing them to apply their knowledge in real-world settings. The program also offers opportunities for additional specialization through optional minors in areas such as Construction Project Management and Energy, Oil and Gas.
