Academic Requirements for International Students

• Bachelor’s Degree: A four-year undergraduate degree or its equivalent from a recognized institution.
• Minimum GPA: A minimum GPA of B (3.00/4.33) is required for graduate programs at Royal Roads University .
• Work Experience: Relevant professional experience is recommended; however, specific requirements may vary by program.
• Transcripts: Official transcripts from all post-secondary institutions previously attended must be submitted directly from the issuing institution's registrar in a sealed envelope. International transcripts may require evaluation by a recognized credential assessment service .
• Statement of Intent: A 500–1000 word essay addressing:
  • Reasons for applying to the Master of Global Management program.
  • Development of research, writing, critical thinking, and numeracy/accounting skills.
  • Contributions to the educational experience of fellow students.
  • Career aspirations and how the program aligns with them .
• Letters of Reference: Two reference letters are required:
  • One based on work/life experience.
  • One based on academic performance or community service. Two work-related references may be acceptable in certain cases.
• Detailed Résumé (CV): A comprehensive résumé detailing:
  • Education history.
  • Work experience with organization names, duration, and responsibilities.
  • Training and professional development.
  • Voluntary/unpaid work experience.
  • Information technology training and experience.
  • Professional memberships/affiliations.
• Standardized Test Scores (Optional): While not required, submitting GMAT scores may strengthen the application. A GMAT score of 500 or better can demonstrate academic writing and numeracy skills .

Language Requirements

• IELTS Academic: Overall score of 6.5 with a minimum of 6.5 in writing and speaking, and 6.0 in listening and reading.
• TOEFL iBT: Overall score of 88 with a minimum of 24 in writing, and 20 in listening, reading, and speaking.
• PTE Academic: Overall score of 60 with a minimum of 60 in writing and speaking, and 58 in listening and reading.
• Duolingo English Test: Overall score of 115 with a minimum of 110 in literacy, comprehension, and conversation; and 115 in production.
