The Business Fundamentals program is designed to equip graduates with essential knowledge and skills for entry-level positions in the business sector. Students will learn about the various functions of a business and how they interrelate, along with professional business communication skills and foundational skills in accounting, business and financial math, and marketing. This program not only prepares students for immediate employment but also allows them to ladder into two-year Business Administration diploma programs at NBCC, focusing on disciplines such as Accounting, Marketing, Management, or Financial Management. Graduates will gain a broad skill set that opens doors to various industries and sectors, enhancing their entrepreneurial abilities and providing fundamental business skills for managing small businesses effectively.

The Business Fundamentals program offers a flexible structure to accommodate different learning preferences. Here are some key details:

  • Program Length: Approximately 2 years for part-time students.
  • Courses are primarily delivered on campus, with some available in a virtual classroom format.
