You will gain the entry-level skills needed to give you a better chance of getting hired and becoming indentured as an apprentice. If you are looking for a career as an electrician but have not been able to secure employment and begin the apprenticeship process, this program is an ideal choice.

The Pre-Employment Electrician program is structured to provide comprehensive training for aspiring electricians. The program includes:

• Program Length: 360 hours
• Hands-on practice and safety training
• Eligibility to write the Alberta Apprenticeship & Industry Training First Period Theory Exam for the electrical trade

Students do not need to be employed or indentured to be accepted into this training, making it accessible for those starting their journey in the electrical field. Upon successful completion, students will receive a Medicine Hat College Certificate of Completion, significantly improving their job prospects.
