Program Overview

The Faculty Program in Music: Jazz is tailored for students who have trained as jazz musicians and seek a unique specialization not typically offered in standard major programs. This program also caters to those interested in integrating music studies with other academic disciplines. With guidance from a staff adviser, students have the flexibility to design their own curriculum based on specific interests or broaden their educational experience by incorporating courses from various faculties.

Additionally, students enrolled in this program can apply to add a minor in another music field or from a different faculty at McGill University. They also have the option to pursue a second major or degree alongside their Bachelor of Music (B.Mus.) program.
