The ILSC High School Program: Foundation Year offers students the opportunity to earn an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) while enhancing their academic English skills. This program is designed to prepare students for higher education in Canada and globally. By completing 8 full-credit courses, students will not only receive their high school diploma but also develop the necessary English language abilities and academic skills essential for success in post-secondary education. The OSSD is recognized by institutions across Canada, the U.K., the U.S., Australia, and New Zealand, providing students with a wider range of options for their academic pursuits.

Program structure

The ILSC High School Program: Foundation Year is structured to provide a comprehensive educational experience over a defined period. The program length varies based on the location:

  • Toronto, Online: 40 weeks
  • New Delhi: 32 weeks

This program combines ILSC English for Academic Purposes classes with TVO ILC Study Blocks to complete high school credit courses. Students will:

  • Complete 8 full-credit courses to earn the OSSD.
  • Engage in a blended learning experience with in-class and online components.
  • Receive support to build a customized learning plan.
  • Participate in comprehensive progress monitoring and counseling.

Students can expect a minimum of 20 hours of study time per week to successfully complete the program within the specified duration.
