The Interactive Media Design - Web (IMDW) program at Georgian College is designed to equip students with the skills necessary to create innovative and interactive web applications. Academic Requirements

The admission requirements for the College Diploma - Interactive Media Design - Web (IMDW) program are as follows:

Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent, or mature student status.
Grade 12 English (C or U).
Mature students, non-secondary school applicants (19 years or older), and home school applicants may also be considered for admission. Eligibility may be met by applicants who have taken equivalent courses, upgrading, completed their GED, and equivalency testing.
Applicants who have taken courses from a recognized and accredited post-secondary institution and/or have relevant life/learning experience may also be considered for admission.

Transcripts may be required to be evaluated by WES in some cases.

For international students, it is advisable to contact LOA Portal's advisors for any clarification and support regarding specific requirements.

To ensure success in the program, students are required to have a personal notebook computer (either PC or Mac) that meets or exceeds the following specifications:

Hardware: Intel i5 processor or AMD equivalent, 16GB of memory or greater, 250GB hard drive.
Operating System: Microsoft Windows (current version) or Apple OS X (current version).
Software: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Visual Studio.

Students are also required to bring their own device (BYOD) that meets the technology requirements for their program. Having access to a personal laptop that meets your program’s technical requirements will ensure you’re prepared for in-class, online, and hybrid learning activities.

Language Requirements

The language of instruction at Georgian College is English. All applicants for whom English is not their first language must provide proof of language proficiency. To meet Georgian’s language proficiency requirements, applicants must meet ONE of the following criteria:

Must have completed three full years of study at the secondary school (high school) level in English in a country where English is a primary language.
Must have completed one full year of study in an accredited postsecondary program in English in a country where English is a primary language.
Must have an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (or Canadian provincial equivalent) and English credit (Grade 12 U, M or C) issued by a public or Catholic school board.
Provide proof of graduation from one of the authorized Georgian College partner school pathway programs.
Must have completed two years of study at a secondary private school in Ontario and received an Ontario Secondary School Diploma and English credit (Grade 12 U, M or C).
