Enhance your English academic writing and verbal communication skills with Dalhousie’s English for Academic Purposes (EAP) program. This program is designed for students who are starting a bachelor’s, master’s, or doctorate at Dalhousie or any English-speaking university. It is particularly beneficial for those who have been conditionally accepted into a Dalhousie academic program but do not meet the English language requirements. The EAP program offers a supportive environment to improve English skills essential for academic success.

Program Structure

The English for Academic Purposes (EAP): Foundations 1 Summer Special is a 8-week program that consists of 192 hours of instruction. The program is offered in a HyFlex modality, allowing students to choose between online or face-to-face classes. Key features of the program structure include:
