College Diploma - Educational Support (1332)

Academic Requirements

To apply for the Educational Support Ontario College Diploma program at Conestoga College, applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD), or equivalent, or be 19 years of age or older with mature student status.
• Completion of Grade 12 compulsory English, C or U (minimum 50%), or equivalent, OR completion of Conestoga College Preparatory Communications (COMM1251), or equivalent.

Note: If your transcripts are from outside of Canada, you will need to obtain a comprehensive course-by-course credential evaluation. You can use an approved provider of credential evaluation services such as ICAS or WES, or applicants can request a credential evaluation through the college using the following statement: “Transcripts may be required to be evaluated by WES in some cases.”

For international students, it is essential to ensure that all documents are submitted in accordance with the college's guidelines. If you have any questions or need assistance, please contact LOA Portal's advisors for clarification and support.

It is advisable to apply as soon as possible, as specific deadlines may not be mentioned. However, early application increases your chances of securing a spot in the program.

Additionally, students must complete the following prerequisite courses and requirements before starting the program:

• Mandatory work-integrated learning (WIL) document requirements must be completed prior to WIL experiences.
• Evidence of current TB Testing (1-step, completed within 1 year of program start date).
• Standard First Aid and CPR – Level C certification.
• A clear Police Check for Vulnerable Sector Screening (VSS) is required.

Language Requirements

To apply for the College Diploma - Educational Support (1332) program at Conestoga College, you must provide proof of English proficiency in one of the following ways:

• 6.0 IELTS Academic (with no band less than 5.5)
• 80 TOEFL (Effective January 2024, no individual skill less than 20)

Please note: The above requirements are specific to diploma programs. If you do not have the English language skills for direct entry into full-time post-secondary programs, you may choose to enter Conestoga's General Arts and Science: English Language Studies program.
