Program Overview

The Animation Ontario College Diploma program is a two-year course designed to equip students with the necessary skills for a successful career in 2D digital animation. This program emphasizes both the artistic and technical aspects of animation, allowing students to blend their creative talents with practical techniques. Throughout the program, students will engage in various projects that enhance their understanding of figure drawing, storyboarding, character design, and 2D character animation. By the end of the program, graduates will be well-prepared to enter the animation industry with a strong portfolio showcasing their work.

Program Structure

The Animation program is structured over a period of two years and is delivered in a hybrid format, combining both in-person and online learning. The program is divided into four levels, where students will:

  • Focus on pre-production for their capstone project in the second year.
