Academic Requirements
The Indigenous Studies diploma program has specific academic requirements for prospective students. To be eligible for admission, applicants must meet one of the following criteria:
- C+ in English 12
- C in English 12 Camosun Alternative
When you apply, you will need to submit proof that you meet the program admission requirements listed above. Where a letter grade is specified, you must have proof of that grade or higher.
For international students, particularly those from Vietnam and other Asian countries, it is essential to ensure that your academic credentials are recognized. Transcripts may be required to be evaluated by WES in some cases.
Additionally, the program reserves at least 70% of its seats for Indigenous students. Camosun College recognizes any student who is a descendant of the Indigenous peoples of North America, including status and non-status Indians, Métis, Inuit, and Native Americans residing in Canada, as an Indigenous student.
