The four-year Bachelor of Public Safety (Honours) degree program provides both theoretical knowledge and hands-on instruction. This program is designed to help you develop a systematic approach to public safety, enabling you to counter, coordinate, and investigate man-made and natural threats. It is specifically tailored for graduates of the Police Foundations Ontario College Diploma program, allowing them to receive credit for nine courses, which reduces the time to degree completion to just three years. You will learn the principles of public safety within the context of Canadian legislation, gaining valuable skills in investigative and analytical problem-solving.

Program structure

The Bachelor of Public Safety (Honours)(Co-op) program is structured to provide a comprehensive education over a period of four years. However, graduates from the Police Foundations Ontario College Diploma program can complete it in just three years due to course credits. The program includes:

  • Co-op work terms for practical experience

Students will engage in work-integrated learning opportunities that enhance their understanding of public safety.
