Program Overview

Gain the foundation you need to build a meaningful, fulfilling career in the ever-changing teaching and learning environment. After completing a first degree, our Bachelor of Education (BEd) program offers a wide variety of courses and will prepare you for a career in education in just two years.

Program Structure

The Bachelor of Education program is designed to be completed in two years of full-time study following the completion of a first bachelor’s degree. The program includes:

  • Three stream options: Early Years (K – Grade 4), Middle Years (Grade 5 - 8), and Senior Years (Grade 9 - 12).
  • A mix of classroom learning and hands-on experience.
  • 24 weeks of practicum experience in various educational settings, including urban, rural, French immersion, northern, and international environments.
  • Part-time options available, though daytime attendance is required for practicum.

This structure ensures that students are well-prepared for a career in education, equipping them with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills.
