The Bachelor of Arts and Science in Women and Gender Studies & Psychology at the University of Lethbridge is designed to empower students to understand and engage with the significant changes women have initiated in society. Academic Requirements

For admission to the Bachelor of Arts and Science in Women and Gender Studies & Psychology program, the following requirements must be met:

Minimum GPA: A minimum average of 65% across the required courses.
Required Courses:
- English Language Arts 30-1 (mandatory)
- Three of the following courses (required):
  - Aboriginal Studies 30
  - Art 30 or Art 31
  - Biology 30
  - Chemistry 30
  - Choral Music 30, General Music 30, or Instrumental Music 30
  - Dance 35
  - Drama 30
  - Mathematics 30-1 or Mathematics 30-2
  - Mathematics 31
  - Physics 30
  - Science 30
  - Social Studies 30-1
  - Five credits in Advanced-level CTS Computer Science (CSE)
  - One or more distinct languages at the 30 level
- One additional requirement from the list above that has not already been used, must be at the 30 level, and worth at least five credits (multiple courses worth a total of five or more credits can be used). This cannot be a Special Project.

For students who are not Canadian high school students in Alberta, please consult the specific Academic Requirements applicable to your situation.

Transcripts may be required to be evaluated by WES in some cases. Vietnam International Students: Require at least four years of study with a minimum overall grade of 7/10.

Language Requirements

To apply for the Bachelor Of Arts And Science - Women And Gender Studies & Psychology (Optional Co-op) program, you must demonstrate English Language Proficiency (ELP). The following exams are accepted:

Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL iBT) with a minimum total score of 86, and a minimum score of 20 in each section.
Academic International English Language Testing System (IELTS) with a minimum overall score of 6.5, and a minimum score of 6.0 in each band. IELTS One Skill Retake results are accepted.
Cambridge English Qualifications: C1 Advanced with a minimum score of 176, and a minimum 176 in each subscore.
Cambridge English Qualifications: C2 Proficiency with a minimum score of 176, and a minimum 176 in each subscore.
Academic Pearson Test of English (PTE) with a minimum overall score of 61, and a minimum score of 60 in each part.
Canadian Academic English Language (CAEL) assessment with a minimum overall score of 70, and a minimum score of 60 in each component.
Duolingo with a minimum overall score of 120, and a minimum score of 110 in each subscore.
