Sheridan’s Educational Support diploma program is designed to prepare you for a rewarding career in educational settings, specifically focusing on supporting students with special needs. This program equips you with the necessary competencies to assist students with disabilities and those with Individual Education Plans (IEPs), ensuring a safe and professional environment that promotes their well-being. Program Structure

The Educational Support diploma program at Sheridan is structured to be completed in 2 years at the Trafalgar Campus in Oakville. The program includes:

  • Field placements in Semesters 2, 3, and 4, where students gain hands-on experience supporting students with special needs.
  • Flexible learning options, allowing students to choose between full-time and part-time evening classes.
  • The use of laptop computers for in-class work and home assignments, with all course materials available online 24/7.
  • The Skills Passport, offering optional training events to enhance learning with specialized certifications.
