Academic Requirements

To apply for the Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science (Degree Completion) at Royal Roads University, international students must meet the following criteria:

Academic Qualifications:

Completion of an Arts or Science Diploma (or 60 credits), including a minimum of 24 second-year credits, from a recognized post-secondary institution.
A minimum GPA of 'B' (3.00/4.33) is required.

Prerequisite Courses:

Six credits (two courses) in chemistry with a laboratory component in at least one course.
Six credits (two courses) in biology.
Six credits (two courses) in math or physics (may include three credits of statistics), with at least one course in linear algebra or calculus.
Six credits (two courses) in writing or communications.

Additional Requirements:

Applicants who do not meet the standard Academic Requirements may be considered under the flexible admission policy, which assesses a combination of formal education, informal learning, work experience, and real-world life experiences.

Transcript Evaluation:

Transcripts may be required to be evaluated by WES in some cases.

Language Requirements

International applicants must demonstrate English language proficiency through one of the following tests:

IELTS-Academic: 6.5 overall with a minimum of 6.5 in writing and speaking, and 6.0 in listening and reading.
TOEFL-iBT: 88 overall with a minimum of 24 in writing, and 20 in listening, reading, and speaking.
PTE-A: 60 overall with a minimum of 60 in writing and speaking, and 58 in listening and reading.
Duolingo English Test (DET): 115 overall with a minimum of 110 for literacy, comprehension, and conversation; and 115 for production.
