Academic Requirements

To apply for the Techniques de l'informatique (Programmation) (DEC) program, applicants must meet the following Academic Requirements:

Exceptions to these admission criteria may be applied.

Every application is reviewed by the College.

To be eligible for acceptance into this program, applicants are generally required to meet one of the following criteria:

• Secondary School Diploma (DES) with completion of:
  • Mathematics TS, SN Secondary IV or CST 5 (Math 436).
• Diploma of Vocational Studies (DVS) with completion of:
  • Language of Instruction from Secondary V,
  • Second Language from Secondary V,
  • Mathematics TS, SN Secondary IV or CST 5 (Math 436).
• Equivalent education or an instruction deemed sufficient.

Language Requirements

The following English language proficiency exams are accepted for the Techniques de l'informatique (Programmation) (DEC) program:

IELTS Academic: 6.5 (overall and writing component)

TOEFL iBT: 

• IBT: 24 – 26
• Paper-based: 61-63 (writing component)
• With no less than 18 (iBT) in any band

Cambridge: 

• High B2 and 170 – 184 (overall and writing component)
• With no less than 170 in any band

PTE Academic: 56-65 (writing component)

Bright Five Stars: 3.5 (overall and writing component)

Any student who has obtained a result lower than those indicated in this table may still be admitted, with a pathway that includes upgrading courses at LCI Language School or the Tremplin DEC program.

French Requirements

DELF tout public ou DALF:

• B2 (au moins 18/25 à l’écrit et dans les autres compétences); ou
• C1 (au moins 16/25 à l’écrit et dans les autres compétences)

TCF tout public ou TEF: B2 atteint (score 499)
