Academic Requirements

To apply for the Web Development and Internet Applications (Non Co-op) program, all applicants must meet specific academic requirements. The following outlines the necessary qualifications:

College Eligibility:

Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent.
Mature Student status (19 years of age or older and without a high school diploma at the start of the program). Eligibility may be determined by academic achievement testing.

Program Eligibility:

English, Grade 12 (ENG4C or equivalent).
Mathematics, (Grade 12 MCT4C) or (Grade 11 MCR3U) or equivalent; or (Grade 12 MAP4C with a grade of 80% or higher) or (Grade 11 MCF3M with a grade of 70% or higher).

For international students, it is essential to provide proof of the subject-specific requirements noted above. Additionally, international applicants may be required to provide proof of language proficiency. Domestic applicants with international transcripts must be evaluated through the International Credential Assessment Service of Canada (ICAS) or World Education Services (WES).

Transcripts may be required to be evaluated by WES in some cases.

Additional Notes:

Applicants should have basic computer skills, such as keyboard proficiency, Internet browsing and searching, and proficiency with an office software suite (word processing, spreadsheets, etc.) prior to the start of the program.
While programming experience is not a requirement to enter the program, aptitude for programming is necessary and would include strong language, problem-solving, and logic skills.

IELTS - International English Language Testing Service (Academic): Overall band of 6.0 with a minimum of 5.5 in each band.
TOEFL - Internet-based (iBT): Overall 80, with a minimum of 20 in each component:
- Reading: 20
- Listening: 20
- Speaking: 20
- Writing: 20
Duolingo English Test (DET): Overall 110, with a minimum of 110 in Literacy and no score below 95.
